I am selling each book at the cost of printing, fulfillment, and shipping, and not a penny more.

Why am I doing this?

Because my parents never taught me the value of a dollar.

But really, there are two reasons I'm doing this.

First, I spent decades curating the most well crafted arguments and the most rigorous methodologies from across the intellectual spectrum. I did this by graduating from faith based and secular institutions, teaching at private and public universities, and writing for academic and popular audiences.

I'm doing this because I want you to gain this knowledge without taking on my amount of school debt.

You don't have to be resigned to know nothing of the Bible or go as far as academically as I have. I'd rather you be equipped to enjoy these ancient texts in a language that you understand rather than suffer in a language that almost no one understands, academic English (which is only second in obscurity to academic German).

I'm doing this because I wish someone had done it for me. I'm doing it because i am a believer in Feynman's razor, "If you can't say it simply then you probably don't understand it."

Therefore, my goal is to get this book into as many hands as possible.

The second reason I'm selling this book at cost is because I want to start a collaborative movement, and I can't do it alone.
I want to build a community on-line in forums and face-to-face at conferences that takes the New Testament seriously rather than blindly accepting it or arrogantly dismissing it. I want to gain your curiosity by being transparent.

One more thought.

I know that the tools and principles you choose to learn in this book will extend beyond your reading of the New Testament. They are transferable skills that will pay dividends in your everyday life!
